Day 30 - Challenge Complete

Namaste!

Day 30 is done!

I have never run a marathon but I am imagine this is what the aftermath feels like. I am so happy!! I can't believe I made it through 60 tree postures, 60 bow pulling postures, 60 tortoise postures and more. 30 days of Bikram in a row. Done.

Thank you so much for all of the support. I could not have done it without everyones encouragement!

Thank you Waldo and Henry for enduring the 5.30am wake ups as I clattered around.

Thank you Charlotte Hadlow, Charlotte Reynolds, Waldo and Vanessa who all attended classes throughout the challenge.

Thank you lulu lemon for providing all my yoga gear!

Thank you EastWest Bikram for donating all of my classes and all of the money raised from the Friday night classes!!

I will keep you posted on the final amount raised, I am currently in the tallying process.

2 Days To Go

Namaste!

After yogaing through the flu and a hectic work schedule I now only have 2 days to go!!!

On my final day the lovely Nikki (owner of east west bikram) has said all of the proceeds from the tightass classes in Ponsonby and New Market will be donated to The Hunger Project New Zealand!

My final day is Friday and I will be attending the 5.30pm class in Ponsonby! It is a $10 minimum to attend and all the money will be going to a fantastic cause!

Please come along to the 5.30pm class in Ponsonby this Friday or the New Market class at 6 and support the challenge!

Thank you so much EastWest Bikram!

Until tomorrow!

Days Twenty Three and Twenty Four

Namaste!

I thought this challenge was going to be tough even in the best of health but throw the flu into the mix and this is next level!

I am so dedicated to this cause I have been forcing myself to make it to yoga regardless of the fever, headache, sniffles and other such symptoms. If that doesn't deserve a donation!!!

Until tomorrow!

P.s. sorry to the person I almost fell on this morning. My inner ear balance has been severely affected.

Days twenty, twenty-one anddd twenty two

Namaste!

Not long to go now. I have a mere 8 days to go before the challenge is complete.

Today our instructor Jordan mentioned a yogi who just completed a 90 day challenge.. There is a small part of me that is tempted...

In other news you can survive a yoga challenge on a vegan diet. Especially when nice people make you treats like this:

Day Nineteen

Namaste!

Today I sweated it out with the one and only Charlotte Reynolds, country director at The Hunger Project New Zealand.

Despite claiming she had never done Bikram yoga before she was touching her toes and extending her limbs like a true yogi.

Donations are still coming in! So far we have raised $1005.00 online, with only 11 days left in the challenge please share it with everyone you know.

Days Seventeen and Eighteen

Namaste!

Days seventeen and eighteen were a battle! I have been tired, cranky and over the early morning starts!

Lucky for me, the initial anger mellows into mere bitterness by tree pose and then by the final savasana I feel like totally relaxed person.

I highly recommend early morning yoga for people who don't love early mornings. Oh the irony.

I also highly recommend the H2o coconut water they sell at the east west studio, it really helps deal with the groundhog day feeling.

Until tomorrow!

Day Sixteen

Namaste!

Day sixteen is done! This morning went something like this:

5.30am - wake up with dead arms, try
and turn off alarm without
waking Waldo. I think he
slept through. Phew.

5.40am - clean teeth (crucial move for
all those attending 6am
class).

5.45am - arrive at yoga, lay down my
mat and pretend I am still
in bed asleep.

6.00am - realise I am not still in bed
begin the 26 Bikram yoga
postures.

7.30am - finish class. Pull a great u
turn on ponsonby road and
head home.

7.45am - shower, breakfast, load of
washing, make coffee, get
Waldo to re-make coffee
because mine tastes awful.

8.25am - bus, work. The day begins.

Support this crazy schedule and The Hunger Project New Zealand! Please donate at https://www.givealittle.co.nz/cause/thechallengeforchange

Until tomorrow!
